I have invited a guest speaker, Rick Martin, a libertarian-leaning Republican, to speak informally to our our lunch group.

Rick wanted to run for Congress as a Libertarian.  I had to inform him that it was too late to do that.  The LPCO’s constitution reads:
Section 4: Each candidate must have been a Member for at least one hundred fifty (150) days prior to the Primary Election, and shall
sign a statement to the effect that he or she supports the Statement of Principles of the Libertarian Party.

Rick is author of *No Money* ( www.amazon.com/No-Money-Surviving-Middle-American/dp/1426993099 ).  You can also see more of his work at www.pigsandoil.com as well as the youtube “Mitt Romney vs. The American Middle Class”.

Rick will be bringing his Powerpoint presentation about the need for a strong U.S. navy.  If I understand him correctly, he believes the U.S. military should be downsized except for the navy.
