Steve Pomerance & municipalization

- – – – -

Steve Pomerance has generously agreed to attend our October 17th lunch to discuss electric municipalization with us.

Steve Pomerance is a former Boulder city council member who has taken an interest in electric municipalization. He has written several emails to me and has demonstrated that he knows far more about free market consumer choice in the highly regulated electric industry than I do.
His emails to me seem to indicate that – in the best of all worlds – he would support consumer choice. He has written several emails to me about why that would work in other US states but would be difficult in Colorado. Steve, I hope I have interpreted you correctly. If I haven’t, you’ll have ample opportunity to correct me at lunch.
Steve had asked me to have him attend October 24th because of his busy schedule but when I told him we are interested in promoting a debate or discussion about municipalization before the election, he generously agreed to meet with us at this short notice. Thank you, Steve.
I urge all of you who can make it to attend what will likely be a useful, lively, and interesting lunch.
