Lean Management (August 7th)
Visiting Professor of Conservative Thought (September 4th)
Annual Meeting (September 12th)

We need

  • Someone to to take over Nathan Grabau’s position as outreach director.

We have three candidates who are working hard. They (I!) need help in all aspects of campaigns: fund raising, outreach, management, event coordination.

Will you step forward to help the Board and/or the candidates?

Parade and air conditioning

On August 2nd the Libertarian candidates running for Boulder County Commissioner, House District 11, and Boulder County Clerk (Randy Luallin, Bill Gibson, and Ralph Shnelvar, respectively) will be in a parade at 10 a.m. at the Boulder County Fair.

We’d like you and your friends to parade with us.  We have purchased volunteer tee shirts we’d like you wear to show your support.  It should be huge fun.  For more information, click link.

If you wish, email me telling me you’d like to volunteer.

We also need volunteers for the August 2nd and 3rd to man our booth inside of an air conditioned building at the Fairground.

Lean Management

On August 7th we will be having as our guest speaker Steve Elliott, former Deputy Treasurer of Boulder County.

Steve will be speaking to us about Lean Management, a management system he uses to save money and increase customer satisfaction in the County Treasurer’s office and elsewhere.

Visiting Professor of Conservative Thought

On September 4th we will be having as our guest speaker Dr. Bradley J. Birzer, Scholar in Residence, Visiting Professor of Conservative Thought.

“Let me know what you’d like me to talk about,” Dr. Birzer asked in an email to me.

So let’s talk about what we’d like him to talk about tomorrow (July 24th).

Annual Meeting

The next annual board meeting of the LPBC will be on Friday, September 12, 2014.

6:30 P.M.  Social/Dinner
7:30 P.M.  Business meeting

Bill Gibson’s house
1908 S. Coffman
Longmont (Prospect), 80504

We will be electing officers.

Do you have an agenda item for the Board?  Let me know and I’ll put it on the agenda.

If you know of any event where Randy, Bill, and/or I can do some politicking, please let me know.

End of August

We have the back room booked at Carelli’s until the September 4th.

Greg Carelli tells me he will book us a month at a time.  If we lose the back room for some reason, I will let you guys know, I hope, well in advance.
